A Model of Simplicity: Smiles For Life, 2019

The 2019 edition of Smiles for Life is underway! That means you can go to a participating Crown Council dentist, have your teeth professionally whitened, and at the same time support a charity that helps sick and underprivileged children all over the world.

“The start date of the campaign is March 1,” said Greg Anderson, the head of the Crown Council. “It runs from March 1 through June 30.”

Smiles For Life is a model of simplicity. Teeth whitening materials are provided free of charge by Ultradent, the maker of Opalescence and other dental products. The actual whitening is performed by participating dentists. Payments are made directly to the the Smiles For Life Foundation, which  recieves 100% of the donation.

Smiles For Life distributes the funds, and have approved all of the recipients. They include the Ronald McDonald House, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Feed the Children, and the Garth Brooks Teammates for Kids Foundation.

Smiles For Life has raised more than forty million dollars since it began in 1998. There are participating dental practices throughout the United States and Cananda involved in the campaign. All of them are Crown Council members who donate their skills. You can use this link to find a participating Smiles For Life dentist near you.
