If you’ve been thinking about having your teeth professionally whitened, there may never be a better time to get it done than right now! That’s because the 2021 Smiles For Life campaign is in full swing: you can brighten your smile, and at the same time help kids in need!
From now until the end of June, participating dentists will be offering teeth whitening services to their patients. Instead of paying the dentist, patients make a contribution to the Smiles For Life Foundation.
The campaign is the charitable arm of the Crown Council, and it’s been a huge success since it began more than twenty years ago. “Together we have raised almost 45 million dollars,” noted Greg Anderson, Crown Council Managing Director.
Hundreds of dentists in the United States and Canada take part in Smiles For Life each year. They use whitening kits donated by Ultradent, a leading manufacturer of dental products. “They give us these kits absolutely free,” Greg Anderson explained. “Last year they donated over ten thousand kits to us.”
The money that is raised helps children who are seriously ill, disabled, and underprivileged. The Smiles For Life Foundation donates 100% of the money to participating children’s charities, including St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, the Garth Brooks Teammates for Kids Foundation, and many others.
