The Smiles For Life Campaign is in full swing, and dentists everywhere are donating their time and expertise to brighten their patients teeth for free! The patients, in turn, make a monetary contribution to Smiles For Life, which is used to fund over 700 individual children’s charities across the nation.
The Crown Council, which is the leading organization behind Smiles for Life, also uses the funds to organize humanitarian trips to developing countries. So far, the campaign has raised more than 40 million dollars!
And we keep adding to that number! Starting in March, a host of new practices joined our yearly effort. These industry leaders will continue to “do good” through June, offering their high-end services for free. Building a sense of community with patients is crucial, and these dentists know it, so they have placed their trust in the web of empathy and social service that the Crown Council provides.
You might be part of a dental team that could benefit from this sort of networking; or maybe your practice simply wants to increase their social responsibility because it’s the right thing to do. Either way, we encourage you to get involved.
If you’ve joined up already, keep up the good work! If you haven’t, don’t miss the empathy train next year! Interested dentists can find out how to get involved. Please visit the Smiles For Life Facebook page to help spread the word!
The Crown Council is a prestigious alliance of dental professionals committed to dental excellence, fighting oral cancer, and to serving their communities and children’s charities.
